Under $100 Linky Party and Goodbyes

Tomorrow our girl from Colombia leaves.  She, along with 6 other orphans from Colombia have been here for the month for a program called Summer of Hope.  It has been a wonderful, exhausting month.  We do not feel called to adopt at this time, but have been advocating for our sweet Erika and feel we have been called to intercede for her.  Please pray for Erika and all of the orphans of the world.  Rather than sharing highlights from last week's linky party (and there were some great links--thanks) I wanted to share Erika with you all--I hope that is okay!

What a sweet keepsake from Domestically Speaking,
There are so many fabulous under $100 ideas in this tranquil living room from A Blued-Eyed Boy Met a Brown-Eyed Girl:
I love this mod-podge light from The Hand-Me-Down House:
Kids trying your patience yet?  Try this idea from Living With Punks.

Coffee or Tea?

One from the archives today--a fun and funky little bistro set.  I made the table use a free plywood round I got from a garage sale, some squares of wood for the base and bed post. There is a wood square on the top of the bedpost that attaches to the tabletop from underneath.

Life is loca.  I now have the non-English speaking escort (who was supposed to be a translator) staying with us for a week along with Erika.  This is a wild ride, just taking things one day at a time.  Here are some great links from last week, oops 2 weeks ago:
Adorable tipsy pots from Girl in Air,
Gaudy goes groovy at Sweet Blessings,
Fabulous dresser redo by Bubsies Boutique,
I want to spray some tires and make these from Recaptured Charm,
And this coffee table  from Brambleberry Cottage is drool worthy.

Quick Magnet Boards

Thanks for your kind words and understanding about linky party/posts.  High school Spanish is returning to me slowly!  Erika is settling in well, sweet little girl who has had such a tough life thus far.  I pray we bring a little light to her life.

I am thinking this month will mostly be projects from the archives.  Here is one of my favorite quick ones--decoupaged vintage ads on enamel refrigerator lids make quick and easy magnetic memo boards.

Estoy Aqui

I am here, but not really.  As I mentioned a few months back, we are hosting an orphan from Columbia in our home for the month.  She arrived late last night--speaks no English and wants to be on the go, go, go.  Translating is exhausting, haven't spoken Spanish since high school.  Not sure how often I will be on here, not for a few days anyways and no linky party this week.  I appreciate all prayers for Erika and my family. Muchas gracias.
