Christmas in July...or August

I have a confession...I am not a planner.  I don't do lists (my 11 year old daughter makes them for me), I don't think way ahead, I don't like to have a schedule.

I can put a positive spin on it, call myself a free spirit, someone who lives in the moment and not ruled by a schedule.

And for many things, this quality is a good thing.  But, not always.  So as strange as it is for me, Christmas has been on my brain as of late.

For the past three years I have shared the 12 Days of Christmas in November/ December.  I have shared ideas such as my junky signs
or stocking hangers
and this ribbon star.

And while I enjoy sharing my love of Christmas, quite frankly coming up wit these ideas in an already busy time of year is taxing.

So, what am I going to do about it?  Not do the 12 days of Christmas? NO! I am going to plan ahead, work on the projects now, photograph and perhaps even schedule the blog posts now.

I think I need to put on my Harry Connick Christmas music and get cracking.  Wish me luck!

  1. Good luck and sending encouragement your way! I love your ribbon star and pinned it to try this year. Maybe I can get motivated and follow your lead and make it while I am off work for the summer (more time.)

  2. Love the star! I'm like you, after years on a rigid schedule, I'm a 'free spirit' too. Actually, I'm probably worse since I rarely know what time it is!

  3. You have good taste in Christmas music! :) Good for you on the "ahead of time" stuff. I can hardly think about next week, let alone Christmas. Lol But i definitely need to start thinking fall and such shortlt so i can pretty up my booth when the time comes, which will be soon! Ugh...

  4. When I read that you don't keep lists and etc. you remind me of myself. Neither do I...and I need to do the same and get started on my XMAS list. You have inspired me!

  5. Go for it! I've been thinking about the holidays too...

  6. Good luck!! Love all of those past ideas...maybe you work better under pressure?? ;)

  7. Sounds like a plan. Love the star. I adore Harry Connick Jr. Happy Crafting for the Holidays in August:)You will definitely be prepared and ready.

  8. Love the ribbon star! So cute! Newest follower! Following you on facebook and gfc. I would love it if you followed me on the same. Cant wait to read more from ya!!

  9. The 2nd thought is possessing an outdoor privacy screens created from crops, vines, shrubs, and etc. having a barrier created from these dwelling elements not only provides you the privateness you want..
