Truth Or Dare In The New Year

Truth?  Dare?  Which did you most often take as a kid?  I took the dare more often.  I liked being dared to do harmless, albeit stupid things--ringing a neighbor's doorbell, eating a bug, cartwheeling down the street.

As I got older I think I dared less.  I weighed the risks more.  I worried about the what ifs.  I chose safe.  But, this is the year I am looking to change that trend.

I have never chosen a word for the year before--I know many bloggers have.  This year I am. This year my word is DARE.

DARE myself to be the woman God created me to be.

DARE to dream.

DARE to think out of the box.

DARE to get out of bed 30 minutes earlier.

DARE myself to trust my inner voice.

So many wonderful things to DARE myself to do.  I have written my word, DARE in several places so I see it, sit with it, am spurred on by it.  I painted this shelf sitter sign to remind me to DARE daily.
