A Little Blue Stool or Table

Happy fourth of July!  Here are some pretty red, white, and blue flowers for you.

And they are sitting on a new, old looking little stool or side table I made.

I used some chunky, rustic 2x10's for the top and legs.  I attached the legs using the kreg jig and I added a cross bar,

and some thin apron pieces across the front and back.  I painted it this lovely aqua color (called perfect aqua) and then sanded when it was dry.  I did quite a bit of sanding with 80 grit sandpaper.

I love how the stain (puritan pine color) brought out the darkness of the wood.

This makes a great side table, tall stool, or plant stand.  I am in love with the chippy paint and rustic wood.
