Junkers Unite With a Stocking Holder, 12 Days of Christmas, Day 7

No fireplace or mantel to hang your stockings?  No problem!  Here is a fun and easy solution that can be used not only for the stockings but year round.
Today, I am not only sharing another one of my 12 days of Christmas projects (day 7 by the way--no bad poem today though), but I am also joining with other junkers to bring you easy, low to no cost projects for Christmas.  So stay in your fuzzy jammies a bit longer, grab a second cup, and enjoy these creative ideas.

I started with 4 thrift store frames that I painted in the colors I am using for Christmas this year. The beauty of this project is you can use as many frames as you need for your family.  In the future I think I would use all flat frames like the 2 red ones, but the others do work and add interest.

I cut 3/4" plywood to fit into each frame--1/2 would work too, I just didn't have any on hand. Paint the plywood with chalkboard paint.

I used Gorilla Glue epoxy to adhere the chalkboards to the frames, let it dry, and then joined the frames together with a thin piece of plywood screwed into the chalkboards.  Paint the back white.

I added the hooks--2 on the flat frames and 2 on the chalkboards.

Not only is this perfect for Christmas stockings,

but it would work in an entry for coats and bags and keys,

or in a kitchen for towels and aprons--the chalkboards give you a place for shopping lists and menus.
