Fall Porch Decor on a Budget

Yesterday I showed you my quick fall sign I made with pallet wood scraps.  Today, I am sharing the rest of my porch, or at least one of my porches decorated on a budget with thrift store and garage sale finds.

use thrift store finds and pallet wood projects to decorate your porch for fall
This porch we call the breezeway porch because it leads into the breezeway (which is enclosed) from the garage to the mudroom. It is the door that most everyone uses because we have no path to the front door (YET!).

In one corner where I hung my new HELLO FALL sign, I have a garage sale chair that I painted yellow in the spring. An enamel wash bowl holds fake pumpkins an pinecones and gourds from the thrift store. Another thrift store pumpkin sits in an enamel bucket.

I cut branches from our hedge and added them to my mailbox (also from the thrift store) planter. The leaves will fall from them, but that is ok since 'tis the season. There is also a few curly willow branches in there that a moose broke off in our backyard a few weeks ago.

In the other corner I have a rattan love seat that I added some color to with some outdoor pillows purchased from...yep, you guessed it, the thrift store. (Do you see a theme here?) The rusty tin funnel holding I made several years ago (see it HERE) and still love it.
An enamel pitcher holds more fake pumpkins and gourds,

and the wood pumpkins are a sneak peek at a project from my new book, Wood Pallet Wonders due out in about a month. They are quick and easy to make and you can make a whole "patch" for your porch.

The only NEW item I bought for the porch was a fall colored front door mat from Target. I 💛 fall!

    1. Thank you so much Emilou, you made my day with your sweet comment. And yes, while I can appreciate the all white farmhouse look, I could not live in it--I need color!

    1. Thank you Linda! I love fall so much. Sadly, we are not getting our typical "Indian Summer" and have had snow already.
