See Da Cedar

I snachted up this cedar chest for $5 at a garage sale.  As you can see, it was badly scratched, but the cedar was in perfect shape.
Some sanding, white paint, distressing, and stain and she is all better. 

Going to be tempted to keep this one, sigh, can't keep them all.

  6. What a wonderful bargain you got! I love blanket boxes (as we sometimes call them here) as well. I have the cutest little one ... that needs refinishing badly.
