Less, More Bulletin Board

There are some things we need to do less and some we need to do more.  I decided to include a few of my favorites (that I need to work on!!) on a ginormous bulletin board.

This is the same bulletin board I used for my book page flag this past summer.

I took the book pages off and added some muslin fabric by hot gluing on the edge under the reclaimed wood frame.  While the glue was still hot I used a butter knife to stick the fabric to the glue and tuck the edge of the fabric under the frame. It got a little wrinkled up in a few spots, but I decided to take my own advice and stress less about it!

I then stenciled the words on there with this blue paint I mixed from about 5 colors--I am loving the color.  In a few places a bit of paint from the back of the stencil got on the fabric where I didn't want it.  I have learned from past experience, JUST LET IT BE.  When it is dry, take fine sand paper and lightly sand the fabric.

Here it is with a few things pinned on it--there is room for lots more!  A perfect place to pin inspirational photos, memos, and some wise words to inspire life!

  1. Do you allow your photos to be pinned onto Pinterest? I love the book pages flag, but won't pin it (or anything else) without your permission.

  2. I apologize. I didn't wait for the page to finish loading. Now I see where you allow it. Thanks. (Montana is beautiful. We were there on vacation in the 90's and I loved it!)
