Rustic Hall Tree

When I dragged a piece of corrugated tin home from the side of the road I got the eye roll.  If you are a junker, you know the one.  The look that says, "What are you going to use that for?  Why are you bringing garbage home?  We will let that sit around for a year (or ten) and then take it to the dump."

Much to hubby's chagrin, it only sat around for 3 months before I found a use for it--a rustic hall tree.

Ignore the man in the corner, i.e. please ignore the trim boards ready for the basement sitting on the floor behind this ;).

I have no process pictures, but sandwiched the tin between reclaimed barn wood boards.

I added a "table in front also built from barn wood.  The bottom shelf would be lovely with some wire baskets or a wood crate--I will leave it up to the owner who hopefully will be purchasing this at the show I am at this weekend.

Some rusted hooks and a mirror trimmed in the barn wood complete this hall tree.

I love it's rustic goodness!

  5. I have a strip of corrugated tin just like that, and I keep thinking roof to something, but don't feel like making the "something". This would be perfect! I love it!

  14. Whoa, I likey. I just picked up some corrugated myself but not a large section, smaller sections, and I'm thinking of putting behind my stove. The rustic of the corrugated looks really nice against the wood. A very nice project indeed!

  15. I love it! I have some of that metal, unfortunately I had mine about 4 years. I saved it from going to the salvage yard. I would love to recreate your hall tree. I could see a wall mounted version without the table if you were pressed for floor space.
