Weathered Wood Pallet Crate
The pallet fun continues, this time with a simple, divided, wood box or crate.
When looking for pallets, I always like to find some that have been outside for a time because the wood greys and weathers.
I left these pallet boards as they were and made a quick crate. This is an easy build (there is a step by step tutorial in my book Crafting with Wood Pallets), using the wider 5 1/2" pallet boards.
I decide to make this crate longer, and little more narrow than a typical crate, and then add dividers.
I love the rustic look of the wood, the rusty nails from the pallet boards, and the simplicity of the box.
The possibilities are really endless when it comes to pallet crates. What would use this crate for?

I would love to win the paint and stencils. I think I would paint our wheelbarrow too. We have an old one with a flat tire and I would love to paint it and liven up our yard.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win! Free paint AND stencils??? Woohoo! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI love the stencils, and all the ideas I am finding on Beyond the Picket Fence! Working with wood and creating projects is therapy for me and I have been able to turn my "therapy sessions" into pieces that I ultimately donate. Thank you for such a great site. It is such a blessing to many!
ReplyDeleteI love the weathered gray wood!
ReplyDeleteI love crates. Containers of all kinds actually. This one would be cute stenciled too.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your ideas and I've actually attempted some! (smiley face)..thank you for the chance to win!
