Just a quick project today. Today was about other things. Today would have been my son's 9
th birthday--his golden one. We took flowers to the
cemetery. It was a less tough day than it has been in the past, which is good.
For this project I used thrift store/garage sale belts and a freezer basket (from a chest freezer). Fairly simple--I used two belts around each, what's the word I am looking for, lap? No that is not the word I was looking for, but I think you know what I mean. I buckled one belt to the other. You could do this around other types of wire baskets too.
I had to enlarge the picture.
ReplyDeleteI was dumbfounded.
I put the DUMB in dumbfounded, actually.
You are so creative.
So simple, and so cute, mmm, youve got me thinking of some similar ideas, and Im sure I can find some of that junk here in my backyard!
ReplyDeleteI dont think loosing a child could ever be understood, only time can help to heal, with faith and love.Take care,
Sue
Great project. I've been saving belts to do a chair seat with, but I might just have to try a basket. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss; and I'm glad it's getting easier. But you never heal, do you! I know!
ReplyDeleteThe belt basket was brilliant! Bloody brilliant! I was just contemplating tossing out my old freezer basket last weekend -- well, not anymore!! Thanks.
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you and your family today. May you be filled with the Peace that passes all understanding.
In Him,
Stacey
My thoughts are with you...I've been through this too...my son would have been 24 this month. It gets easier with time, but they always have that special place in your heart.
ReplyDeleteThe belt basket is amazing and I'm going to have to steal that idea, for sure!
Happy Birthday to your angel in heaven.
ReplyDeleteLove that project.
ReplyDeleteVery neat.

ReplyDeleteI love your project! So cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI tagged you as one of my "happy" spots on my blog (go check it out) - but before I share my "happiness" I think I should tell you my prayers are with you and your family.
