Blue is my favorite color, all shades of it, so when asked to join other bloggers in showing off the Fusion Mineral Paint Blue colors (they have 8 to choose from), I jumped right in.
Look at all these purdy shades of blue at these blogs!
I chose Laurentien, my very favorite aqua color. (You can also see Laurentien here on my patio table I recently repainted.)
I started with an OLD card table I had picked up at a junk shop. It is sturdy and I adored the raised, decorative edge so I had to buy it.
There is just something about card tables that I love. In my family when the card table came out it usually meant something good--a bridge party for the adults, a kid's table at holiday meals, a puzzle to put together or a game to play.
I painted this table in about 15 minutes, it was dry within 30 minutes and then I lightly distressed the embossed edge.
That was all! Fusion Mineral Paint does not need a finish--it has one built in. It goes on so smoothly and dries quickly.
I wanted to leave the metal edges and corners. Rather than taping them off, I simply kept a wet rag nearby to wipe away any oops.
