There is just something about crates that make me smile. They are an easy build, they are super useful, and they are darn cute.
Someone recently asked if I still use pallet wood. YES, I do!!
Pallet wood is perfect for creating crates. I have easy directions in my first book, Crafting with Wood Pallets. You can get the book HERE.
I left this crate wood, staining it with Early American stain by minwax. Before staining I did add a little extra detail with the Coffee Roasters stencil and the crates stencil from Old Sign Stencils HERE. The crates stencil is fun, especially on the pallet wood.
This crate fits perfectly on the bottom shelf of a bench and hold extra blankets and books.
Crates can be used in every room of the house:
Kitchen: coffee/cocoa supplies, kitchen towels, cookbooks, paper plates and supplies.
Bathroom: toilet paper, towels, lotions and soaps
Kid's Room: toys, books, shoes, blankets
Family Room: games, DVDs, books, blankets, remotes
Do you utilize crates in your home?
