Project Challenge: Chicken Wire/Screen, Magazine Holder

Hello and welcome to this month's Project Challenge--where bloggers challenge themselves to create something new with a common object.  This month's challenge is chicken wire or screening.

I chose to use garden screening or mesh for the magazine holder I created.

Creativity & How to Encourage It

I am often told, "Oh, you are so creative, I would never think of that!"  And while I appreciate the compliment, I really believe we are all creative.  Some of us are creative with paint and wood, some with delicious ingredients in the kitchen, some are creative while disciplining and raising children, while others create brilliant business plans.

Reclaimed, Live Edge Wood Bench

As I dragged this bench across my front yard I realized something--moving into a new house in a new neighborhood means that I have to "break in" new neighbors to my blog, photo staging craziness.  Really neighbors, I am not crazy--sitting on the grass, lying on the grass, bringing all kinds of objects outside to take pictures...really.

I am blessed to have a wood supplier--my "dealer" if you will, who gives me some fabulous pieces of reclaimed wood.  This bench was made from a few of those. 

Rustic Industrial Chest of Drawers

Hey, hey friends--this is my first post in my new house with my own Internet, yahoo!  I realize having no internet for 6 weeks is a first world program, but goodness, what an inconvenience!  

So...expect to hear more from me!

Do you ever just get an idea and can't wait to complete it?  That is how it was with this little chest of drawers.

Styling Difficult to Style Shelves

My title here kind of makes me thinking of a book title--Something like Raising the Difficult Child, haha!  Just talking shelves though here, which is a little easier than child rearing.

So we have these built in shelves at the bottom of our library stairs. (Darn, I can't find a before picture!)

Target Knock-Off:String Art

Oh, the apple doesn't fall far, does it?  When my daughter spied some feather string art at Target she said, "I can make that for my room!"

Attic Bedroom Update

Y'all, I am going on one month with no internet.  I am sitting at Old Chicago typing, eating a calzone, sipping iced tea.  Supposedly, I will have internet in the next few weeks, but I am not holding my breath.

So, while my wifi needs have not been met or made any progress, my daughter's bedroom has (hmmm, coincidence that we are getting more done around the housewith no wifi??).
