New To Me!

Sorry a little late here with my New To Me post--busy weekend.  First--a disclaimer--while these blogs are "new" to me, there is a chance I have visited them before, but didn't remember or it was only a brief visit and I didn't take the time to explore.  Sorry--so many blogs, so few memory cells.  This week's blog that is new to me is Lolly Jane Boutique.  These sisters know caaa--ute!

Look What My Kid Made

I am starting another new, obnoxious feature where I will show off something my kid (and by kid I mean dear daughter) made.  I am not going to do this on a regular basis, so breathe easy--just from time to time.  We (DD and I) decided to first feature these fun slippers that she recently completed with a little help from Grandma.

Tess saw these in a book she got from the library and started on them right away.  She used pockets from her older brother's jeans. 

She handstitched the stars, then cut some foam for the inside, and sewed it all together.  Aren't they cute?

I Shutter At The Thought

Funky Junk Interiors is featuring shutters at her weekend party and I thought this would be a great opportunity to show off some past shutter projects.  And the only thing I am painting this weekend is my outdoor trim before the snow the flies.

I made this fun planter by attaching a wire freezer basket to some shutters.

I painted up this little shutter and use it in my mudroom--it holds cds, photos, scissors, papers.

I used shutters for the roof on this ginormous birdhouse storage bin I made.

Shutters sitting on a tabletop makes a great photo/note display.

Here is a shelf I made with shutters as the side.  As you can tell, I had to recut the back beadboard piece, this one was a little small.

New To Me!

A Rosy Note is a new oh so sweet blog, filled with great photos, simple ideas and my latest new to me blog.

Look at this beautiful display--love the apple in the hydrangeas!

At first glance I thought this was fabric, but it is an original piece of art!

I love this little crate turned on its side and used as a display on her front porch.

What cute art made from stamps!

This beautiful wreath is made even better with a few vintage photos tucked in it.

New To Me!

A blog hop here and a blog hop there and I landed at Three Pixie Lane and what a sweet landing it was.  Christie shares so many great ideas, with big beautiful photos to entice you.  Her home looks so warm an inviting.

Recently she grabbed an old door and set up this fabulous spot for an outdoor meal!
