We are getting down to the wire here with my 12 Days of Christmas projects. I am still adding decor to my home and when a project only takes five minutes like today's project, down to the wire is okay!

I have a little level shelf (see how I made it HERE) under my big clock in my great room that needed a little extra Christmas decor. I had placed two of my favorite snowmen on it, but nothing else. I decided I wanted a snowflake.

At first I was going to stencil one on a block of wood, but that was too common. I then decided to stencil one on an old book, but couldn't find quite the right one. While looking for a book, I found some old records I decided that would be perfect. Other ideas would be an old paint lid, a BINGO card, a dark plate, an old painting from the thrift store.

I used a large snowflake stencil from this Folk Art stencil pack HERE. This pack has stencils for year round!

I used white interior latex paint, stenciled it, and let it dry.

I did spray a light clear coat over the top.

These would be fun stenciled on both sides and hanging in a window or from a banister.
Such an EASY DIY for some last minute Christmas decor.

Well that's just cute!
