I made this fun nesting spot out of a thrift store jar.
I glued spools on the bottom of the jar for added interest and height. A page from a 1950's biology textbook, a little moss, a few twigs, a nest with some eggs (painted jelly beans), and a "home" book tag, and ta-da--easy and quick cuteness in a jar.

Love the bird jar, the vintage Audubon like picture takes this to a more valuable/classical level. I'd skip the spools as they add a country crafty feel to what is a bit more elegant because of the glass and classical picture.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! You make fabulousness (is that a word?) look so easy! I love it!

I like how you used a vintage picture for the bird. Did you actually "paint" the jellybeans? That's a great and cheap idea! :)
