Shelf Rehab

I have decided I am in the shelf rehab business--I take outdated, less than functional shelves and with some quick fixes, bring them into this century and add some function.  I shared this one:
and this one:

Here is my latest.  It started life as a glossy brown piece with some sexy curves.  I started sanding before I took this picture:
I was pleased to find a lovely shade of greenish turquoise under the brown.
Some sanding, added some painted scrap boards on the back, hooks and another 80's shelf has been rehabilitated.
Keep your eyes open for these little diamonds in the rough.

  1. Shelf rehab business.. lol!! I love what you've done. I'm going to keep my eyes open too!

  2. Truly astounding transformations you create. These are amazing. penny

  3. Beautiful job! I love what you did with it!

  4. So frickin' crafty!
Kyra and I went out to the Barn yesterday and saw your booth :)

  5. Loving all of your shelf redos. I often pass up these ugly little shelves at thrift stores but I think you've inspired me to try to make one over. Thanks for sharing this project.

  6. Just so beautiful! You have such a wonderful eye for shelves and the color that you add is just perfect!

  7. Beautiful shelf. Putting the back on it really changes the look. It makes the shelf look so finished. I love the colors it became.

  8. Now that is spectacular! Love the patina and the wonderful colors. Great job.

  9. You are an inspiration! I love your style!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate your kind words!
