Magic Reindeer Food

Still finishing up those 12 Days of Christmas projects (this is day 10--two to go!). I stenciled up a bunch of these to tuck in my Christmas boxes for next year's Christmas shows as these are great sellers.

I started with some muslin bags I sewed.

Using the Christmas crates stencil from Funky Junk's Old Sign Stencils I stenciled the reindeer on the bags using red craft paint. Be sure to put a piece of paper or cardboard inside the bag to prevent the paint from bleeding through.

Mix up some "magic" reindeer food--oats and glitter and put in a plastic baggie. (I did not add the oats right now, don't want to attract mice while these are in storage.) Include directions on a tag--I hand wrote mine you could print something up too.

Tie the bag shut and give a little magic to your favorite kiddos. My children loved this tradition on Christmas Eve.

These bags are also great to give your favorite homemade treats or small gifts.

The snowflake on the Christmas Crates stencil would be cute on the bag for winter gifts.
(note--the price you see for stencils is in Canadian--it does convert to less in US $)
