Curated Christmas Decor for the Pop-Up Shop

The holiday season is approaching and although I don't decorate for Christmas in my home until mid December, many of my favorite customers like to deck the halls earlier. I will be bringing in lots of freshly sourced Christmas items to the October 23 and 24 pop-up shop. Never fear for those who are anti-early Christmas decorating, there will still be plenty of fall home decor at the October pop-up. 

How about some cute Christmas plates, mugs and tree napkin rings?

A wood nutcracker, a red creamer, a green wood bucket (that got an evergreen arrangement in it) and a fun, plaid garland sit on a linen tablecloth.

A plaid lined, hefty basket holds faux stems that will be used in arrangements and wreaths. The little deer will get a makeove and the snowflake can will hold a tree.

A boxwood wreath was dressed up with a silk scarf and a vintage watercolor depicting a snowy barn was reframed.

A vintage arrangement, folk art, hand-painted trees, a small, needlepoint pillow, and bells that will be used in a swag sit on an reindeer felt runner. And they all sit on a cozy, plaid, flannel blanket.

When do you decorate for the holidays?

Vintage Curated Cottage Home Decor

 Vacation time means a chance to scope out new places to source home decor for the pop-up shop, especially when it is driving rather than flying trip. Here are some recent finds from a trip to the PNW. 

This is just a bit of some of the objects I bought--these have a common, vintage cottage theme. 

An old, carved wood, trinket box with a cottage picture, a gold plaster Abe Lincoln bust, an old book, green metal match keeper, a carved bell candlestick, and a white pitcher sit in a woven tray.

A vintage litho entitled "sleep Little One" by James Newey is in an old 1920-1930's, metal frame. I love the colors and floral prints in the quilt. A heavy, brass and red-stained wood candelabra is mid-century and the wood candleholder has a goldish sheen to it. The carved shelf and coat hook is not old, but it is beautiful.

Oh, and here is a photo of me in Olympic National Park. The green mossy forests and the BIG trees rejuvenate me, inspire me, and bring me a sense of peace.
