Trick-or-Treat
Happy Halloween. Busy day, still coughing, thrilled to get an extra hour of sleep tonight! Here is the only trick-or-treater in my house this year. I made this Twister costume for the sweet girl. Very easy--I sewed it but you could use colored duct tape to put it together too.

Look at these adorable jack-o-lantern gourds I won from Snowman Hill. Aren't they adorable? Check out their blog!
I also have been blessed to receive a couple of fun awards. This one from Junk-It Junction:
And this great one from Room Remix:
Please check these wonderful ladies out! I have a hard time passing these on, because I love you all. So instead, do me a favor and comment on 5 people's blogs today--make someone's day a little brighter. Thanks!

Painted Pumpkins
Thanks for all of your well wishes and sweet comments on my wreath and blog.
So for these I started with your basic fake pumpkins, spray painted them with oiled bronze spray paint. It was too black-- I dry-brushed bronze craft paint over the top and then added details in cream. I think my address pumpkins need a little vine or something around them, but it has to be good looking, nothing too fake.
PS--All of a sudden my pictures show up as HTML code when I am typing up my post and my font is different, but it all posts fine. Anyone know why and how to change it back? Thanks!

Oink Oink--Be Back Soon!
Swine flu has hit our house and schools. Hubby, teenage son, I have it. Hubby and I have milder cases, but uhg, the cough! Stay tuned... (This is showing up in different font--won't let me change it, too sick to care Ü.)
Now daughter has it too! The aches are the worse part! Hubby and teenager doing better.

Starting to Look Like Fall
I am slowly getting a little fall decorating done. I wanted to add pops of burnt orange to my blue and brown color scheme that lives in my family room. I used the orange spray paint on this candlestick and plaque thingy. I couldn’t find a burnt orange, so just used the bright orange and then put stain over the top. Some of the orange rubbed off on the candlestick and the original gold popped through, which I liked. The brown ceramic pumpkin came from Ross for $2.99.
