Coffee Table Transformation
When friends are moving and want to give you free furniture, you say yes please, and thank you.
I knew this coffee table just needed a little paint and a new top to make freshen it up. I painted the base in Laurentien from Fusion Mineral Paint.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! The other evening as I was driving home I caught just a glimpse of the sunset through the trees (I pulled over to take the picture). It was beautiful, but I was sad I had missed the whole thing and I wanted to see it all, the entire sunset. I thought about those times when we see only small glimpses of what God is doing in our lives and how frustrating it is to not see the whole picture, to know how something is going to work out. It is in these times when our faith is stretched, when we have to trust that God has a plan for us and those we love that He worked out long before we were born. When we see only a sliver of God's plan or worse yet, nothing at all, be still, rest and believe that God knows what He is doing and when we finally get to see the whole picture, it will be better and even more amazing than we imagined.

Montana Bison
If you watch the news at all, you probably saw a month or so ago the man who put the baby bison in his car at Yellowstone Park because he thought the bison looked cold.
It was quite the news here since Yellowstone is so close by. Fun fact: BISON live in North America--BUFFALO live in Asia and Africa. After this happened, I decided I need to paint some bison signs. My favorite is this one I made using Matthew Mead's Copper Fusion Mineral Paint.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! Dads are designed to be the protectors in our families--the ones who provide for and guide our families, the ones who keep us secure and safe. Sadly, many folks have never known an earthly father who has played this role for them. They have never known a dad who checked on the loud noise in the night, who wiped away their tears, who held their hand to cross the street. Thankfully, we have a Father who is here for us--to defend us, to lead us, to hold our hands and protect us. Take courage and BE encouraged knowing that your heavenly daddy is ALWAYS with you!

Rustic Industrial Dresser
Y'all, I took a before picture of this, I KNOW I did...but, I can't find it. So instead, you must visualize. Picture 1992 hunter green paint on the drawers, white outside, and no handles.
Got that picture? Now see what a little Fusion Mineral Paint can do...

More Love and Coffee Love
I simply cannot post frivolous home decor without first addressing the tragedy in Orlando.
While I do not know what the answers are, and I won't get political, I do know what Jesus said and commanded: Love our neighbors, love our enemies, love patiently with kindness, to love one another because God loves us. Jesus loved radically, with no boundaries and no conditions and that is the love we are to strive for. So while we may disagree on the answers, I am going to choose love first and pray others will do the same, pray that love will change those who hate, pray that love will chase out fear and anger.
And while love knows no boundaries, my love might need a little caffeine in the mornings (especially on Mondays!) to feel all warm and fuzzy.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! I am sure you have heard the saying, "Bloom where you are planted". Sometimes that seems so contrary to what we want or to where we think we should be in our lives. Queen Esther did not think that she was in the right place or position to help her people. But, God knew Esther was where she needed to be to save a nation. And God has YOU where He wants--in this time and in this place and He can use you right where you are. He may have you in a job or a neighborhood or a relationship where He can work through you today. When you are feeling restless, when you are wishing and wanting something different, remember that God has created you for "such a time as this" and listen to what He wants to do for you and through you.

Picnic Time
When the antique place where I have a booth decided to rent out the front display area a month at a time for a low fee, I didn't need to be smarter than the average bear to say, "Yes, please!"
I chose June because it is always a BIG sales month (we are located on the route to West Yellowstone) and I decided on a picnic theme.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! I like to think of myself as a pretty independent woman. I enjoy doing things on my own such as killing spiders or building with power tools. Independence can be a good and powerful thing. But, in our relationship with Jesus, we are to be the opposite--dependent. There is a reason God gave the Israelites only enough manna (food) for a day--he wanted trust and dependence. God didn't ask us to pray, "Give us enough bread for the month or the year", but rather He wants us to pray daily for the things we need. I know when life is going well, I get a little independent in my walk with Jesus and forget to rely on Him. That independence moves me away from Him. God wants DAILY relationship, DAILY trust, DAILY belief. One day at a time with God is all I need...

Pallet Picnic Table
Peter Piper picked a peck of perfect pallets, a peck of perfect pallets Peter Piper (or Becky) picked...and from one perfect pallet she made a picnic table!
