Crates Made From Reclaimed Wood
I am prepping to take over the front display in April at The Antique Barn where I have a booth. For an extra fee, dealers can rent the front display for a month, which gives us great exposure. I decided on a spring and gardening theme and have been busy building to stock the space Friday morning.
I built three garden crates the other night in about an hour (and then it took about another hour to paint and finish them).

Defining Goals
Happy MORE Monday! Whether you have been joining me from the beginning of 2017 or this is your first day here, today is the day (and this week is the week) to stop and pause and redefine your goals for the year. This is also our regrouping week because if we don't take a moment to reflect and refocus, we typically throw the towel in and give up.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! On our recent trip to Moab I was in awe of the arches and rock formations. Many of them seem to defy the laws of gravity and I had no idea how they had not tumbled to the ground--it appears impossible to my limited human thinking. As I return to reality (i.e. my daily life as opposed to vacation life), I encounter people who are dealing with seemingly impossible situations. Sadly, they are correct--on our own the hard life things are insurmountable. BUT, thankfully, the difficult becomes doable when we have Jesus on our side. He loves to work on the unfeasible "stuff" and make it achievable. This week, give God your impossible circumstances and let Him make them possible!

Bench Made from Reclaimed Pallets
So...church needed a video of something being restored or changed for the new message series. And a friend needed a bench for her new home. I combined the two and made this bench!

More Balance in Your Life
Today's MORE Monday focus is going to piggy-back off my Sunday Verses from yesterday-- getting more balance in our life. Yesterday, I shared that keeping God at the center of our lives is the best way to find the correct balance. I absolutely believe this. But, there are of course things we can do to help keep our lives balanced. Today, I want to give you ideas can use to focus on finding balance.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! We spent spring break in Moab, Utah hiking and seeing all kinds of amazing rock formations like this one called Balance Rock. There were several incredible rocks "balancing" in what looked like the most precarious positions and I wondered how they did not fall. It made me think about how our lives are often a careful balancing act. There are many different paths to living a balanced life and your path may not look like mine, but letting Jesus be at the center of our lives in the one key we all can rely on for equilibrium. When we put God first--before our need to control things, before our ideas of how everything should work out, before our timetable--He works the balance out. This week let's work at giving "IT" to God and let him work it out.

Picket Fence Made From Pallets
Okay, it was 60 degrees today--definitely time to take the pallet Christmas tree and red snow shoes off the front porch.

More Space Less Clutter
If you have joined me on this journey of getting MORE out of life in 2017, you might remember that in the beginning I told you to have MORE of something it also meant that we we need less of other things.
This week, we are going to focus on having more space and more breathing room (in both our homes and minds) by having less clutter.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! I am in the business of broken things. I take furniture and scrap wood that others see as useless and worthless and I repair and change them and make them useful again. God is in the same business. He loves broken people because he knows that he can utilize us to help others who are broken. God works with our shattered spirits and flaws and develops them into strengths. There is example after example in the Bible of flawed folks (Moses, Abraham, Job, Samson, Rahab, Noah, Jeremiah, Peter, Martha, Paul) that God worked with to transform lives. God does not want to wait until we have it all together to help others. He wants us to share our stories of brokenness to display his redemptive power. Our stories reach people who need to know what God can do. Give God your broken pieces and allow him to heal and use them.

Pallet Wood Wagon
I enjoy being able to make gifts for my family and friends. So when my sister had a wagon for her porch on her birthday list, I knew I could make that birthday gift wish come true.

Sunday Verses
Happy Sunday! I am pretty sure I have never been described as quiet. I am loud and boisterous, I like to talk and sometimes I enjoy and even "egg on" an argument. But the older I get the more I realize the beauty and gift of quietness and stillness. God works in the quiet, he speaks to us and strengthens us in times of rest. When we quit struggling and fighting against those things that rob us of our peace and instead place our trust and confidence in Christ, we will see him working--we will find strength. This week, let's practice quietness, let's be still, let's trust that God is working behind the scenes on our behalf.

Spring Porch Decor
My poor porch has been bare, naked, empty since I put away the Christmas decor. It was a cold January and February and I just didn't have decorating the porch in me. But, today I decided it was time to start with some spring porch decor.
I started small, with just a few things to add some spring color. I am not ready for flowers (fake or fresh) since real flowers are still a few months away. So, I decided to begin sparsely and then I will add more as spring progresses. This is our breezeway porch.
