Hello, and welcome to a fun Fusion Mineral Paint event!
What is Fusion Mineral Paint you ask? It is a mineral paint like none other on the market that I have seen or tried. And what makes it different? It adheres and covers wonderfully, but it also has the finish built in. YES, no waxing needed. Can I get an amen? And the colors, oh the colors...
I painted just a simple project, but I tell you, more often than not, simple is best! After you check out what I did, you can enter to win a $150 giveaway from Fusion, and then go hopping to some other fantastic blogs to see more Fusion projects !
I started with these two dark brown nesting tables (we call them the spider tables) that sit in my family room. They are inexpensive tables from Target and we have probably had them for at least five years.
Because my family room is swimming in a sea of dark brown leather since we bought a new couch last fall, I have wanted to paint these. Fusion Mineral Paint made that easy. I wiped them down well with Krud Kutter and then painted away. I used Ceramic on one and Seaside on the other. One coat y'all, over dark wood--yippee!
When it was dry (20 minutes) I stenciled the Fusion compass stencil in Linen on the top. Because this paint has such great coverage, it works wonderfully for stencils. Fusion has a lot of lovely stencils. Donna at Funky Junk Interiors has partnered with Fusion and retailers now sell her stencils too or you can get her Old Sign Stencils HERE. You can see I also used this same stencil on a pillow.
That was it. Yep, nothing else. The tables have a nice sheen to them and the pop of color that was achieved in about 30 minutes is awesome and much appreciated. There is a tough coat that Fusion makes for heavy use items, but these tables are holding up great with no extra finish. (Now to convince hubby this brown chair needs to go and I need a pretty fabric one!)
Giveaway!!
