Happy Sunday! We spent spring break in Moab, Utah hiking and seeing all kinds of amazing rock formations like this one called Balance Rock. There were several incredible rocks "balancing" in what looked like the most precarious positions and I wondered how they did not fall. It made me think about how our lives are often a careful balancing act. There are many different paths to living a balanced life and your path may not look like mine, but letting Jesus be at the center of our lives in the one key we all can rely on for equilibrium. When we put God first--before our need to control things, before our ideas of how everything should work out, before our timetable--He works the balance out. This week let's work at giving "IT" to God and let him work it out.
I'm trying, I'm trying. :-) Easier said than done.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am trying too! It is so freeing when I can give it to God and let hime keep it and take care of it.
ReplyDeleteGood advice. I'll have to try harder to heed it. I know it's the best way to have peace & contentment in my life.
ReplyDeleteOh Becky you don't know how important this is to me this week! The Doc found a couple spots on my lungs and I have to have a PET scan next week. My mantra has been "God's got this" and even though I'm scared, I just know he will take care of me. If you would be so kind, please say a prayer that the test come back negative. Thank you sweetie and God bless you!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I too am awaiting test results. Mine from a tiny mass in my breast. I will pray for you. Easy enough to remember your name, not that I have to as God knows it well, but I'm also a Debbie. Take care & God bless you.
ReplyDeleteDeb, I will pray for you too! The waiting is so hard! I've got "God's got this" on post it notes everywhere. Here is to good results!! God bless you.
