I added some fun Hobby Lobby knobs. The screw for the knobs were a little long so I used the sawzall to cut the extra bit off the screw and a little dab of hot glue on it so it wouldn't scratch the wall. These knobs are big enough to work as coat holders or for jewelry, bags, etc.

Upcycling an Old Shutter
I recently acquired some shutters. Shutters are fun for all kinds of projects. Click here for a post showing some other things I have done with shutters. This one got a quick coat of grey paint, some sanding and stain.

I love being able to stick pictures in the shutter slats.

ReplyDeleteHI Becky I am crazy for shutters. Love what you did with yours. Where is there a Hobby lobby in MT? They're getting harder to find or they're too expensive. Used to find them alot in MT.
ReplyDeleteWe lived 24 miles west of Townsend which is south of Helena. We lived out on Canyon Ferry Lake. I'd so love to move back to Mt but hubby says no more moving. CO is ok but it's just not MT and the wonderful people there. What part of MT do you live in? I still miss it, we moved away in 1999.
We had 20 acres out on the lake. Crazy huh? We moved to KY to be close to oldest son but it just didn't work out for us. The climate in KY was murder on my health, arthritis, asthma and allergies. Alot cheaper there but just not the place for us. Good thing we moved away to CO in 2004 to be close to 2 other kids as oldest son moved back to San Diego last year. We lived in San Diego 21 years before we moved to MT in 92.
We live about 15 miles west of Grand Junction, CO now out in rural area. After living on 20 acres in country can't stand to live in a town anymore. Love to talk to you if you have time.
