New Adventures of Old Becky

24 years ago I became a teacher.

After teaching 1000+ students in grades preschool-8th grade I am "retiring".  I haven't figure out how to do this (maybe I need the book):
so I am going to pursue more building,
and crafting (and I am sure I will look this sexy doing it-ha!).
And I might be a crazed woman,
but I am excited and look forward to my new adventures!

  1. I bet it won't take long to figure it out. You probably won't miss working until fal when school starts again. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

  2. But you are too young to retire.

  3. Congratulations Becky! I wish I could retire too... teaching is hard work! I can't wait to see all the beautiful things you come up with when you have more time on your hands. i wish you the best of everything! You've worked hard now have fun!

  4. haha funny love the pics! so retiring for real?? how fun and how lucky for you!!!!!! I'm not even gonna think about how many years till I can do the same:)

  5. Congrats on the retirement! Now to start the next chapter of your life! There's no way you WON'T succeed!! You are just so darn talented! God has a big plan for you, that's for sure!

  6. Congrats on your retirement! I have at least 3 years to go.

  7. The teaching worlds loss is the blogging worlds gain.

  8. Congrats! WIsh you the BEST in your new endeavor! Blessings!

  9. Becky - congratulations on your retirement! Now, those three summer months will streeeeetch all year long. But, come August, it will seem odd - like you should be somewhere else! I know - I used to teach! And the first time you drive by a school at recess time? More strangeness! I hope every new day is great for you! Hugs!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate your kind words!
