This rustic,cabin-like project started with a metal flower container from the thrift store (these are plentiful at the thrift stores).
I decided it would make a dandy wall vase.
I started by painting it red and then using my FAVORITE buffalo check stencil from Funky Junk Interiors Old Sign Stencils HERE (note--prices shown are in Canadian).
I then used the snowflake stencils from the winter graphics stencil and stenciled a scrap board.
After that, I secured the metal container to the board with screws and added some winter pine picks that I purchased last year after Christmas. (Tune in tomorrow to see how to make these super quick swags.)
Easy, peasy and perfectly rustic for that lodge look.
How pretty! It makes a fun statement piece in the room!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! I always "need" wall things for Christmas decor.
DeleteLove this upcycle!!! Wish our thrift stores had these metal containers! Sigh. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Look in the craft section and also where the vases are.
