It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...really, it is around here. We have already had lots of snow and record breaking cold temperatures. And while I typically start my 12 Days of Christmas Ideas posts on November 1st, I am a tad late due to LIFE.
BUT, even though I am not starting my OFFICIAL 12 Days posts, I do have a quick and easy DIY Christmas project for you.
I recently found ten tobacco tins at the thrift store. And while tobacco is not a typical Christmasy thing, I knew the rusted red tins were perfect for the holidays.
YOU can find these in any antique store or on Etsy or Ebay. Or, look for other fun things to use at the thrift store--tins you can pint, small baskets, even small purses.
I attached the tin to an old board, screwing through the lid to secure it to the board.
I then simply stuffed pine picks and twigs from my yard in the tins. I added a wire hanger and a little jute and a ribbon. I used different boards--some pallet wood, old tongue and groove, barnwood.
I left a few of the tins off boards and simply added a wire handle. these would be cute on a tree or hanging on a door knob or cupboard handle.
These are super simple and quick to make and are definitely one of a kind!
I love this project, Becky! Very Christmas-y and so easy to make! Thanks for sharing!
