Live Edge Hairpin Bench

When I spied a little vintage side table with a damaged Formica top at a garage sale, I knew I had to buy it for the hairpin legs.

And, I knew they would look fantastic on a piece of live edge wood.

This beautiful wood is the center cut board of a large barn beam.

Some good sanding and Minwax stain in Early American was all this barn wood needed to bring out its beauty.

I added the legs and voila--a rustic, industrial bench or coffee table.

Keep your eyes open for great metal legs and bases at thrift stores and garage sales.  They pair perfectly with reclaimed wood.

  1. That looks awesome Becky. Hope you got a good deal on the table cause I looked up those hairpin legs on Amazon & they're not cheap! I want some too, so I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a thrift store or a yard sale deal!

    1. Yes I did, $10 and I knew it was steal because I had priced out the legs.
