Look what I made with a $3 frame from Hobby Lobby (it was 90% off--I think it must have had a mirror in it. I traced the oval onto a piece of bulletin board (I always buy these at 1/2 price sales at the thrift stores). I used a craft knife to cut it out--you need to go over it a few times. I covered the board, stapled the fabric to the back with a regular stapler, popped it back into the frame, and put the back on again. This is a 10-15 minute project. I also hot glued buttons onto tacks. People are always looking for ways to be better organized so bulletin boards sell quickly. Be on the lookout for cheap frames and used bulletin boards!
How fun and easy is that?! I have several empty frames just waiting for an idea like that.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't compare wearing a cross to a guilletine. I think that it is just a symbol of Christianity that the LDS faith chose not to adopt. I'm not offended when someone wears one, or decorates with one - in fact, I have seen some really beautiful ones.
Perhaps the early leaders of the LDS church just felt it was a symbol they didn't need to adopt, and that there are other ways that we can display our reverence and gratitude for his sacrifice. I believe that Christ is pleased when anyone shows their faith in Him and his atonement, in whatever manner is their chosen way. I guess the greatest way we can all show our gratitude is in the way we live our lives, right?
My kids actually get out early that day too - guess I'll have to lock them in their rooms so I can have my peace and quiet!

Love it! I bought a large oval frame at a yard sale that I should use to do this project. I haven't had a problem yet with those hanging iron pieces rusting, but I actually think some rust looks cool! I do have a large planter table thing that has rusted, but it looks good!

ReplyDeleteIs it a problem to change iTunes to mp3? I say NINE :) Its really nervous not being able to play iTunes tracks with my $300 iriver!
Digging for a solution brings certain results. I don't care what is drm - what I read, its something dealing with protection and nothing about iTunes.
But this tool really works for me and it converted quickly my iTuines entire library, including video files!.
What you your solution? Why iTunes brings this shit? I didn't like ipods at all! They simple stuck and suck!
