Hello, my name is Becky and I have a SLIGHT obsession with round mirrors. I may or may not own close to a dozen of them.
And, I have decided it is my duty to share this love of the round reflective surface with others.
So now I am on the hunt for round junk I can use for mirror backgrounds like this large, awesome, earthy, organic looking bamboo steamer basket I found at the thrift store.
It was a little more than I like to spend, but I figured the lid could also be used for another mirror or a wreath of some type.
I placed a mirror from Michaels (buy these with your weekly coupon!) in the middle to center it and know where I should and should not put glue.
I used a two part epoxy from the hardware store.
I made sure to glue on the high points or the places where the mirror would actually touch the basket.
Simple and oh so chic!
I like the "shelf area" it has--a perfect place for some antlers.
Alas, it will be sold so someone else can enjoy the round mirror love.
That steamer basket is awesome - what a great find, and a cute idea to put the mirror inside it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie. I put it in my cart, took it out, but then put it back in. I was happy with how it turned out.
DeleteSo cute! Love how you styled it with the antlers too - perfect for fall!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill!
