Not only did I make an adult sized picnic table from pallets (SEE HERE), but I also made a pint sized version for kids.
Unlike the adult sized version, I did attach the picnic benches to this table because that is much easier for wee ones to manage.
I made the legs and the benches from pallet 2" x 4"'s. The legs of the table were cut at 30 degree angles.
I used a smaller pallet for the top, removing the middle 2" x 4" support board (for a visual appeal).
I sanded it well and painted a bright red--a prefect place to enjoy a root beer float (my 19 year old kid enjoyed the float at the larger picnic table after I took the pictures).
And why am I on a picnic kick? Come back Thursday and I will show you!
I love this one. The red is bright & cheery. Just yesterday I was thinking that I'd like to go on a picnic. A real picnic, out in a meadow somewhere with the picnic basket goodies laid out on a red & white picnic cloth. Fun, fun, fun!
ReplyDeleteLove this - red is so eye catching. Rootbeer floats are the best too! Sharing this through the week on Social media it's a keeper. Also like that fencing in the background. Thinking would make great walls for my next quail run. Thanks!
