Coffee Table Transformation

When friends are moving and want to give you free furniture, you say yes please, and thank you.

I knew this coffee table just needed a little paint and a new top to make freshen it up.  I painted the base in Laurentien from Fusion Mineral Paint.

I distressed it a bit with the sander.

I added a new top with pallet wood.  I glued the top on and then used the nail gun to further secure it.

I used stain on the top AND over the paint, using Minwax's Early American.

A clear coat and an industrial handle completed the new look for this table.

  1. Love that transformation. I probably wouldn't have given that coffee table a second look.

  3. Becky, you knocked it out of the park on this table! Love the pallet wood top addition and the color is magnificent. Thank you for all the details. :))

  4. Absolutely stunning! Great color choice. I like to wipe stain over my paint, too, gives it some "age."
