Nightstand Makeover

When someone sends you a picture of a little nightstand and asks if you want it, you say sure! (or at least I do.)
before picture of a little nightstand that got a rustic farmhouse makeover

The before was an outdated little piece with a formica top, but a good solid drawer.  I removed the little legs before I took this picture.

A little paint and some reclaimed barnwood and this outdated piece got updated.

First, I painted the nightstand with Fusion Mineral Paint in Seaside.

Next, I added 2" x 2" square legs and reclaimed wood on the drawer front and the top.

A little Minwax Early American stain and a cleat coat finished this makeover.

I love the rustic farmhouse feel this nightstand now has.  A little love was all she need to feel brand new!

    1. Thank you Kim! My twenty year old son who doesn't like color said I should paint everything this color, haha!

  2. Great rescue Becky. Poor thing needed to be rescued, it is quite cute now. Love color and all you did to revive this piece. Like the little legs on it.
I am forbidden to pick up pieces on road offered, no room to store since we don't have way to sell things, people are funny about what they like here. Still trying to figure it out. Don't like distressed, don't like so many features of how pieces are redone now.
