Happy Sunday! Have you ever thought you were born in the wrong era? As a kid I was pretty sure I was supposed to be a neighbor or a sister to Laura Ingalls. I adore many things (like this old car) from the past and wish for simpler times. But, here is the thing, I know God created me to live in THIS time. God has a purpose and a reason for placing us where we are. I don't know about you, but there are days when I watch the news and I think, it can't get much worse on this ol' planet. And, on those days, I am comforted when I remember God knows and He sees and He wants us here now--to love him and to show his love to others, no matter how wild and crazy the ride is. My hope is that when you are questioning why you are here or why you have to live in tumultuous times, you remember: God knows, God has a plan and a purpose for you.
*This is verse 16, not 6--sorry for the typo.
Oh my goodness... I always had the same thought growing up... Wishing I could have been born in Prairie times... Always dreaming of being Laura Ingalls! (I so loved to watch those Little House on the Prairie reruns while I was growing up!)
ReplyDeleteLike you, as I've matured I've come to appreciate God's plan for my life in the herein now! But, you are so right, the news and the world can often be such a scary place. I'm so grateful to know who holds tomorrow!
What a precious scripture you shared! Blessings to you! Net :)

Nice to meet another Little House Lady! Times were hard and scary then too, but seemed so much more simple. I am thankful I know God wants me here now.
