A Quick Project 2

Just a quick project today. Today was about other things. Today would have been my son's 9th birthday--his golden one. We took flowers to the cemetery. It was a less tough day than it has been in the past, which is good.

For this project I used thrift store/garage sale belts and a freezer basket (from a chest freezer). Fairly simple--I used two belts around each, what's the word I am looking for, lap? No that is not the word I was looking for, but I think you know what I mean. I buckled one belt to the other. You could do this around other types of wire baskets too.

  3. Great project. I've been saving belts to do a chair seat with, but I might just have to try a basket. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  4. So sorry for your loss; and I'm glad it's getting easier. But you never heal, do you! I know!

The belt basket was brilliant! Bloody brilliant! I was just contemplating tossing out my old freezer basket last weekend -- well, not anymore!! Thanks.

  6. My thoughts are with you...I've been through this too...my son would have been 24 this month. It gets easier with time, but they always have that special place in your heart.

The belt basket is amazing and I'm going to have to steal that idea, for sure!
