Don't hate me for saying that I have never been a pet person. I am sorry, I just haven't. Not sure if it is my strong sense of smell or what. We had a cat that died in March--I gave her to my hubby one year as a gift of love because he is a cat guy. And then last week my daughter happened upon some free puppies, pleaded for one and I said, "Ya, sure, what the heck, let's get a puppy!" I have completely fallen in love with this sweet little mutt (puggle and miniature pinscher) we named Tika.
In honor of her, thought I'd share a few dog projects from the archives:
A dog bed, made from a doll bed. I took off the one side and cut it down to lower it,
and another doll bed made into a pet dish holder.
And they call it puppy love...
Adorable! I have always had a special place in my heart for pups! What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!! My daughter used to not like dogs at all. But several weeks ago she and her husband got a yellow lab and they love her!
ReplyDeleteYours is so stinkin cute I want to get one!

There is only one thing better than a puppy and that is the dog it grows into being. You love them more each and every day.
ReplyDeleteBecky, Tika is a cutie! Love the feeding station, great idea.
ReplyDeleteOh that face, I would have had to give in too... what a little cutie. They do have a way of crawling right into your heart and leaving a big footprint don't they.
ReplyDeleteLove the little bed and feeding station... something tells me this is going to be a very spoiled puppy.
Hugs, Deb
I was never a pet person until we got our dog and then I transformed into this "goo goo ga ga" crazy dog lady who can't remember life without her. Tika is adorable. Those eyes just melt your heart. Who could resist?!
ReplyDeleteTOO CUTE!! Welcome to Fur Baby parenting! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Your mew puppy is just darling! I love the dog bed and dish. How fun that you made them from doll beds! Have fun with your new little family member! :)

There is nothing like the pure devotion of a dog.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Love those projects!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable - definitely hard to resist...
ReplyDeleteAwwww, so cute! We just had to rehome our puppy because she didn't get along with our older dog (big fights involving blood and vet bills) but we miss her :(
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest idea! I will definitely have my eyes peeled for a doll bed now. If you need any dog sweaters for the winter, check out my tutorial:

hahaha Becky, you are a goner now that you've gone to the "other side". YEP, that puppy has your number. The bed and pet food dish holder, I'm sure are just the beginning of some really cool projects we have to look forward to. :) Yeah for you letting your daughter experience this. Pam @ Sallygoodin
