'Tis the season for giving thanks. I do try to be thankful every day and to go through my mental list of what I am grateful for at the end of each day. Gratitude has helped me get through some rough times. November is that time of year to focus on thankfulness and that is just what my family will be doing this year with these chalk rocks.
After collecting and cleaning a bucket full of rocks, I painted them with chalkboard paint. This would have been much quicker with spray chalkboard paint, but I only had the brush on type so that is what I used.
I did paint both sides and "conditioned" each one (rubbed chalked on them and them wiped it off before writing on them).

ReplyDeleteBeautiful idea! I've heard the saying, "dumber than a box of rocks", but I have to say it's now going to have to change to "as smart as one," brilliant and lovely. I'm grateful you blog.
