I used pallet boards cut from the pallet with a jigsaw (See MORE Pallet how to's in Crafting with Wood Pallets), making them long enough (26") to cover the hole where the door window once was.
Using a hole saw bit (I am sorry I don't know how to find the size on these--I just found 2 that worked in the workshop), I cut holes centered 5" apart. The drill bit needs to be drilling into wood to work, so I placed it right on the edge of the board. I used the drill press with the larger hole bit.
I then built two frames to attach the wine bottle holders to. You want you wine bottles about 7" apart, so the width of these are 7".
I wanted the wine bottles back a little from the front of the bar opening so I attached the smaller holed bottle holder pieces to the inside of the frame, starting at the bottom and spacing them 4" apart from the top edge of one to the bottom edge of the other.
Learned something new, to keep the cork wet. I always wondered, just thought it had to do with holding the bottle more secure. Thanks Becky.
