Happy Sunday! At a recent volleyball tournament a player sitting near me was crying uncontrollably. Her team had just lost and she was inconsolable. I tried to encourage her and I told her some advice I read somewhere: "If it is not going to matter five years from now, do not spend more than 5 minutes on it." We all spend so much time worrying about things that are temporary. Life is constantly changing. Problems come and go. We exert energy on things that do not last and on things that are out of our control. When we live by God's Word we are standing on something that is eternal. Rather than focus on the temporary things of this world, let's instead try to rest on God's unchanging promises and love.
I LOVE THAT VERSE AND THESE ARE CERTAINLY GOOD WORDS TO TRY TO LIVE BY.
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of worrying about things that don't even happen. Trying to work on that! I love your Sunday verses Becky. Always so uplifting. Have a great week hon and God bless you!

ReplyDeleteAs for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him.
