Bowled Over

Or should I say, bowl done over. Back to Thanksgiving decoarting for a moment. Here is a wooden pedestal bowl that I bought for $2. It was your basic wooden bowl, not too great (I forgot to take a before picture). But with a coat of cream paint, some sanding and stain, it was transformed. I got some fake harvest goodies (at 70% off!) to put in it. It will probably stay for Christmas with glass balls in it or glittered pinecones that I am working on-I haven't decided. I didn't get to more Christmas decorating yet--too crazy with kids. Hopefully tomorrow after preschool.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

  2. Beautiful and yes glass balls or the glitter balls from Kmart (Martha Stewart) would be awesome. I am a big fan of the glitter balls. Then in spring you could do apples or pears. Love it.

  9. OK, I know this is an old post of yours, but I have been searching through the blogs I love ALL DAY looking for this particular post. I knew I had seen it somewhere and I was bound and determined to find it again. Here I am! Yay! Anyway, I was at Goodwill today and found a similar bowl and HAD to have it. So, thank you for helping me beautify my home on a budget! I love the bowl and can't wait until mine is dry and use-able!
