Cherry Kisses

Here is a yummy and easy recipe that I usually only make around Valentine's Day (it would be dangerous for me if I made them more often).

easy recipe for cherry kiss cookies

Cherry Kisses
Cream together :
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 Tbs. maraschino cherry juice
Add:
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
Sample some of the yummy dough :)

Bake 8-10 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Press a kiss into each cookie after removing from the oven. I buy the kisses on clearance after Christmas and keep them in the freezer, hidden from the kids and myself.

MMM--enjoy!

  14. Becky - I just had to let you know I made these for a Valentine's party last weekend and they were a big hit. I just love the color of them. I served them on a wonderful old chocolate brown furnace grate which really set off the color even more. And my non-junking friends were amazed once again!
