I thought the pitchers were unique and fun but didn't want to hear them clinging and a clanging every time the door opened and shut. I decided to start with their idea, but make it better (yes, I am declaring my idea better than Pottery Barn's).
I started by collecting silver creamers/pitchers from the thrift store (I spent less than $10 on these). I used a mirror I had on hand--adding a little brown over the black, scratched finish. I love rustic jute with shiny things, so I used it instead of ribbon. I taped the jute on the back of the mirror with packing tape and then added some little touches to each pitcher--rolled up Christmas sheet music, berries, greenery and a pine cone.
This is hanging above my fireplace and I love it already (yes, I just finished making it a few moments ago).

This is so cool! Yes, it's better than Pottery Barn. Besides not clanging whenever you open the door, no one will be likely to steal it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so stinking cool!
ReplyDeleteWow what a great display. I agree I couldn't take them clanging on the door but they look perfect over the mirror.
ReplyDeleteSo incredibly cute! And yes, Pottery Barn doesn't hold a candle to yours!
ReplyDeleteSimply Stunning. You have a wonderful knack of putting things together.
ReplyDeleteGenious!! :)
ReplyDeleteBecky, it's sooo pretty! I don't think I'd want it clanging on my door either.
ReplyDeleteYou really did a nice job, and got a great deal!

ReplyDeleteAnd you sort of freaked me out with that first pic. I'm thinking... you have ALL THAT SNOW and you aren't screaming it from the hilltops?!? (we love snow) :)
