Rachel, yes my good friend who gave me the vintage cooler also gave me a few sections of picket fence that had been her daughter's headboards at one point (alas, they became teenagers and no longer wanted pickets). I took one and cut it into 3 sections--two 3 picket sections and one 4 picket section.
I screwed them together in the back corners, added some wood bracket pieces and shelves. Some white paint and a versatile little shelf was born, great for books, a bathroom, in a kitchen. Here it is for sale with some of my other "wares" at the Farmer's Market.
Very cute!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that! Love what you did with what you were given.
ReplyDeletetoo cute becky! I love picket fence, but it's hard to find around these parts!
ReplyDeletebut, since that silly tree decided to fall on my house last week, (and my privacy fence) I will have some very weathered dog eared fencing to play around with.
ohh, and a couple of pallets (that carried the shingles) woohooo!
love your picket fence shelf, how fitting for your blog!
