Global Love with Fusion Mineral Paint

I love the painted globes I have been seeing and decided I need to try one.

I actually painted the base of this globe several years ago, but then didn't finish painting the globe because it was yellow and the mountain ranges were raised on it and I wasn't sure what I was going to do with that.

When I saw the lovely shade of Laurentine from Fusion Mineral Paint and the copper metallic paint from the Michael Mead Fusion paint collection. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the globe.

After painting the globe with Laurentine, I sanded it a bit and then painted the base in copper.  I hand lettered the words, part of John 3:16, the first verse I memorized as a child. The paint is so smooth and lovely and glides on beautifully.    I can't wait to use this copper on some Christmas projects.
