Pallet Wood Pocket

I Have had this pallet scrap piece hanging around since I wrote my second book, Wood Pallet Wonders

I am not sure what it was leftover from, but I suddenly saw a wall pocket.

I joined the loose boards across the top with a 1" x 2" board.
I used a pallet 2" x 4" board on the sides and a 5 1/2" pallet board across the front to make the pocket front.

I stained the pallet pocket with Early American from Minwax.

I bought these wood leaves for $1 each at the Target Dollar Spot. I decided to paint the front and add FALL. I used some Dollar Spot twine to tie them together and tacked the garland to the inside of the wall pocket.

I added some silk leaves and a fall flower garland and a few pumpkins.

This is a great, versatile item--can be used for other holidays or for mail or in a bathroom for lotions and other toiletries.

  1. I didn't know you wrote another book. I have your first one and love it. Looks like I'll need to get this new one too.

    1. It is mine too! I love the cooler nights, warm days, and the fall leaves. It is cooling off here in Montana for sure.
