4. Grab my Under $100 button on the sidebar and include it in your post or a link to Beyond the Picket Fence so people can find you and more great ideas.

I forgot to leave the price for my 2 drawer chest in the title- it was a $50 project- I already had the paint and supplies on hand, the chest cost me $50 at an auction :)
ReplyDeleteI think the good thing about Pinterest is exposure. So many people who wouldn't normally stumble upon your blog may see the picture. So many more may never actually click on the source of the pin, but still, I hope that a few more may come back.
ReplyDeleteLove Pinterest...but yes, it can be a time suck. I think I have a "system" now though so I can enjoy a little bit of inspiration here and there without getting "lost" for hours :) Thanks for hosting, Laurel
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Becky.

I was just on pinterest pinning some paint colors, it does suck up alot of time, i agree.
Thank you for hosting the linky party again this week!
ReplyDeleteI am new to Pinterest, and yes, I can get totally involved and forget about everything else. =)
ReplyDeleteI have noticed what you are talking about, like having an item I made pinned from another blog, but labeled as Google Translate. ?? figure that one out.
I left a comment with my blog address and hope she will relabel it.
I do think it is overall a very fun thing, and hope some of the bugs will be worked out of it.
Would be nice if instead of just posting a persons whole blog post, the one posting it would do a bit of it, with a link to the original blog. =)
Some people just probably do not think things through, or do not understand blog, or pinterest, courtesy yet. =)
we are all in the learning phase.

You are so correct in the fact that the original owners of the pictures more often than not get lost after a few pins. I can think numerous times I've clicked on the picture to be taken to the source and it just reloads the picture. Can be very frustrating when you want the details, or instructions etc. I must say that I appreciate it when the website address is right on the photo. Other than that I love it. It's my go to when I'm looking for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting :)
Thanks so much for the Party, Becky! I have stayed away from Pinterest for most of the reasons already stated...My head would just spin...I know so many that adore it!!!What an honor to be featured....Thanks...Blessings, Becky
ReplyDeleteThanks for featuring my map! What a fun surprise :)

Thanks for the hosting the party! I'm your newest follower :-)
ReplyDeleteI have the same thoughts on pinning. I put a watermark across the middle of my "finished product" photos, so that way no matter where they go, everyone knows that they came from my blog. Maybe you should try that?
I personally love pinning and Pinterest. I created my blog this past week for many reasons and one was to show off my Pinterest inspirations. I host a Tuesday Pinterest Inspiration party. I also now have monthly Pinterest Girls Night Out where we all create things together. I feature those on my blog and host a Monthly Pinterest GNO party there as well. I love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. Pinterest is an interesting thing. My numbers have never been higher, but the number of comments I have don't necessarily match my traffic. My rule of thumb is that if I pin something I make sure I go to the source (often a blog) and leave a comment letting them know I am pinning and why I love whatever it is that I am pinning.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!!!
