I started with a thin, plywood square that I painted red. I then used the BUFFALO CHECK STENCIL with black paint.

I used the SLEIGH RIDE stencil with white paint next and finally, added some snowflakes.
I framed the sigh out with some small cut-off boards I had, screwing through the back of the plywood to secure them.
