Leftovers

My son needed a pin cushion for 7th grade home ec.  He didn't want to go to the fabric store after church on Sunday and asked if I could make him one.  I used a scrap of the red wool sweater (see here and here) and made a quick tomato pin cushion.  Simply cut a circle, sew around the circumference and fill with stuffing.  Draw up the thread tight and then tack on the green felt top.  Son was surprised, said it looked like a "real pin cushion".

  5. Love it! I didn't know home ec classes were still being offered ... don't get me wrong ... I think that's wonderful! I've been teaching my two, over the years, all of those things we use to learn in home ec class. Great job of repurposing ... take a look at my website (when you get a chance) and see how I repurpose too ;o)

Your previous poster is correct with the Linkwithin (just need to input your email, blog link, etc.) very easy to set up. You will not have control as to which images will show up ... they sort of rotate if you will.

Need to browse your blog some more ... very nice from what I've seen so far! Keep it up ~tomatobaby[dot]com
